Abstract
Binjai City State Religion Teacher Education (PGAN) based on the Decree of the Minister
of Religion Number 64 of 1990 Concerning the Transfer of Functions Education for State
Religion Teachers (PGAN) became Mts Al-muslihin Binjai City on April 25, 1990. PGAN
Binjai City began operating in 1965 and organized education for 6 Years (PGAN 6 Years).
The problem that underlies this research is whether training, and abilities simultaneously
and partially have a positive and significant effect on teacher professionalism in Mts Al-
Muslihin, Binjai City. The data collection techniques in this study were carried out with a
questionnaire by distributing a list of questions to respondents of 35 respondents, Partial
Test (t-Test) showed that the training variables partially had a positive and significant
effect on the teacher professionalism variables. And the ability variable partially has a
positive and significant effect on teacher professionalism. Whereas Simultaneous test (f-
test) simultaneous or simultaneous test (f test) of independent variables (training and
ability) has positive and significant effect on teacher professionalism variables, it can be
concluded that hypothesis 1 is accepted. Furthermore, the determination of the adjusted R
square of 0.949 test means that 94.9% variation of teacher professionalism can be
explained by the independent variables of training and abilities while the rest (100% -
94.9% = 5.1%) can be explained by other independent variables such as incentives, work
environment and rewards.
