Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of human resource competence,
work professionalism, and work environment on employee performance of BNI
Card Merchant & Business Division, Medan Regional Office. The sample in this
study were employees of the BNI Card Merchant & Bussiness Division of the
Medan Regional Office, amounting to 55 people. The analytical technique used to
analyze the data is multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate
that human resource competence has a significant positive effect on the
performance of employees of the BNI Card Merchant & Business Division of the
Medan Regional Office partially, this is assumed based on the results of the
partial significance test (t-test) with the acquisition of a tcount of 2.010> t table
1.675 with significance value of 0.05 = 0.05. Work professionalism has a
significant positive effect on the performance of employees of the BNI Card
Merchant & Business Division of the Medan Regional Office partially, this is
assumed based on the results of the partial significance test (t-test) with the
acquisition of tcount of 10.425> t table 1.675 with a significance value of 0.00 <
0.05. The work environment has no effect on the employee performance of the
BNI Card Merchant & Business Division of the Medan Regional Office partially,
this is assumed based on the results of the partial significance test (t-test) with the
acquisition of a t-count value of 0.526 <t table 1.675 with a significance value of
0.60> 0 , 05. Human resource competence, work professionalism, and work
environment have a significant positive effect on the performance of BNI Card
Merchant & Bussiness employees at the Medan Regional Office simultaneously,
this is assumed based on the results of the simultaneous significance test (F-test)
with the acquisition of an Fcount of 38.67 > Ftable 2.55 with a significance value
of 0.00 <0.05. In addition, it is also known that the competence of human
resources, work professionalism, and work environment have a contribution to the
performance of BNI employees in the Card Merchant & Bussiness Division of the
Medan Regional Office by 66.7%, this is assumed based on the results of the
coefficient of determination (R2) with an Adjusted value R Square of 0.667.
