Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the influence of Employee Work Ability
and Motivation on Job Performance (Case Study on Employees of the Head Office of Medan
Sunggal). The number of samples in this study amounted to 58 people. The data collection
technique used primary data in the form of a questionnaire using a Likert scale in selecting the
assessment response, while the data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis.
Based on the partial test results for the variable Work Ability on Job Performance obtained partial
results, which have a significant effect. This means that the input given by the office to employees
will affect the output produced by employees, namely in the form of good performance. Then the
influence between motivation on employee work performance is known to be similar, namely that
there is a significant effect. This proves that work performance is driven by motivation from the
employee's performance itself. Simultaneously, the result shows that the variables X1 (work
ability), X2 (motivation) together have an effect on variable Y (work performance). It is
recommended that the Leadership at the Head Office of Medan Sunggal to pay more attention to
employees who still lack knowledge regarding job understanding and the ability to overcome
conflicts, can also help create a conducive working environment so that employees can focus on
work and self-development which of course has an important role in increasing achievement. work,
pay more attention to the physiological needs of employees because this is also a form of self-
motivation from employees, in which employees need appreciation and self-actualization to create
employee self-comfort in the morning.
