Abstract

The research analysis found that partial and simultaneous career evaluation and
development had a significant effect on job satisfaction at the West Binjai
Municipal Office of the North Sumatra Province. The data analysis techniques
used are associative methods with the help of SPSS version 16.0. This study uses
classical assumptions, multiple linear regression analysis, t test, F test and
deterministic test. The population in the study was all employees of the West
Binjai Headquarters in the North Sumatra Province of Binjai Province, and
sampling was based on a sample of 41 respondents. Primary data retrieval using
questionnaire. The results show that the evaluation has a positive and significant
impact on the job satisfaction of the West Binjai Central Office of the North
Sumatra Province, tested and acceptable based on the evaluation variable value
(X1) of 4.253 and the table t value of 2,024 then the number t (4,253) > 2,024)
and the value of Sig. <0.05 (0.000 <0.05). The effect of evaluation (X1) on job
satisfaction (Y) is 0.430, which means that with each evaluation (X1), it will
increase job satisfaction (Y) by 0.430 units. Career development has a positive
and significant impact on the job satisfaction of the West Binjai Central Office of
the North Sumatra Provincial Office, tested and acceptable based on the mean
value of the career development variable (X2) is 5,911 and the table t value of
2,024 then the number t table (5,911> 2,024 ) and the value of Sig. <0.05 (0.000
<0.05). The magnitude of the impact of career development (X2) on job
satisfaction (Y) is 0.617, which means that with each career development (X2), it
will increase job satisfaction (Y) by 0.617 units. Simultaneous evaluations and
career development positively and significantly affect job satisfaction of West
Binjai West Sumatra Provincial Office Officers, tested and acceptable based on
Fhitung value of 60,562 with a significance level of 0,000, greater than Ftabel's
value of 95% (α = 0.05) is 3.24 = (60,562> 3.24).
