Abstract

ABSTRACT

The battery in the BTS is one of the most important parts in the BTS device. Batteries are used for energy backup if the source from PLN dies. Therefore, maintenance and monitoring of the BTS also includes checking the battery. Monitoring requires coming to the BTS to check the battery can still function properly or not, not to mention the problems caused when the BTS is far from the head office. To overcome the existing problems related to checking the battery, we need a tool with a remote battery monitoring system by utilizing the SMS facility. With this tool we can monitor the voltage condition of a battery without having to come to the BTS. The design of the tool uses a series of cable windings that are used as sensors which will later enter the ADC microcontroller as a data processor. This tool also uses a GSM SIM8000l modem as a GSM cellular communication module so that it can prevent the occurrence of theft crimes at BTS shelters
