Abstract

Purple eggplant (Solanum melongena L) requires nutrients for growth. This study aims to determine the response of giving eco enzymees and rice straw compost to the growth and production of eggplant plants their interactions. This study used a factorial randomized block designed (RAK) with two factors. The first factor is eco enzymee (E) consisting of 4 levels, namely E0 : 0 ml/liter water/plot, E1 : 3 ml/liter water/plot, E2 : 6 ml/liter water/plot, E3 : 9 ml/liter water / plot. The second factor of rice straw compost (J) consistedof e levels, namely J0 : 0 grams/plot, J1 : 500 grams/plot, J2: 1000 grams/plot. Parameters observed were plant height (cm) number of productive branches (branches), fruit length per sample (cm), number of fruit per sample (fruit), weight of fruit production per sample (grams), and weight of fruit production per plot (grams). The results showed that the eco enzymee treatment had a very significant effect on plant height (cm) and no significant effect on the number of productive branches (branches), fruit length per sample (cm), number of fruit per sample (fruit), weight of fruit production per sample (grams), and weight of fruit production per plot (grams). However, the treatment that gave the best results on purple eggplant fruit production was treatment E3 : 9 m/liter water/plot. Rice straw compost had no significant effect on plant height (cm), number of productive branches (branches), fruit length per sample (cm), number of fruit per sample (fruit), weight of fruit production per sample (grams), and weight of fruit production per plot (grams). However, the treatment that gave the best results on purple eggplant fruit production was in the J1 : 500 grams/plot, and the interaction between Eco enzymee and rice straw compost had no significant effect on all observed parameters.
