Pemanfaatan Maggot (Hermetia illucens) Dari Berbagai Media Tumbuh Sebagai Pengganti Tepung Ikan Pada Pakan Terhadap Produksi Telur Puyuh

ABSTRACT
Quail livestock need adequate nutrition during their growth. This study
aims to determine the effect of using Maggot (Hermetia illucens) from various
growing media as a substitute for fish meal in feed on the production of quail
eggs at the age of 50-100 days. This study used a non-factorial Completely
Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments with 5 replications. The
treatment given is as follows: P0 = Conventional Ration= 10% Fish Meal, P1 =
Conventional Feed + 10% BSF Flour growing media for vegetable and fruit
waste, P2 = Conventional Feed + 10% BSF Flour growing media for fermented
palm fiber waste, P3 = Conventional Feed + 10% BSF Flour as waste growing
medium quail droppings. Parameters observed were Egg Weight (gr), Egg mass
(gr), Egg production (%). The results showed that the highest egg weight gain
was (P3) with a weight gain of 10.41(gr) which was not significantly different
from P0,P1,P2. The highest egg mass was P0 8.21 9gr) not significantly different
from feed consumption, P1, P2, P3. The highest egg production was in the
treatment P0 80.00 (%) gave no significant effect on the treatment P1, P2, P3
