Abstract
ABSTRACS
Circuit Breaker (CB). Power Disconnector is a device installed in the substation that functions to connect and disconnect the load current or fault current . In everyday life various types of disturbances often occur, therefore to prevent the disturbance from occurring, a circuit breaker is needed. Ciecuit breaker is used to avoid damage to the equipment – substation equipment which will later cause the discruption of electricity to the load (consumers) . This study aims to analyze the performance of the circuit breaker . With PMT testing using test equipment, it can be concluded that good category PMT can be seen from the current relay time setting, the factor that influences the performance of the PMT is the magnitude of the short-circuit fault current. The amount of the interference current is affected by the distance of the disturbance. The test tool can see whether the opening and closing times of PMT are according to standard. The faster the relay’s working time to order the PMT to cut the load circuit, the better the performance will be. Circuit Breaker test results at Open and Close were found to be below 100 ms. And for ∆t under 10 ms.
